Our Tenancy Support Services offer energy advice to help you keep cosy at home and manage your energy bills. If you’re struggling with the cost of heating your home, we can look at different options with you.  

Checking your benefits 

We can do a benefits check to make sure you’re getting all the financial support you are entitled to, and we can help you apply for anything you may be eligible for. If you want to check what you could be entitled to, use the Better Off Calculator from Policy in Practice. 

Warm Home Discount Scheme 

The Warm Home Discount Scheme reopens in October 2026. You might be eligible if your energy supplier is part of the scheme, you get certain benefits, and your name is on the electricity bill. For some people, the discount is applied automatically if they receive certain benefits. For more information, visit GOV.UK and search for Warm Home Discount Scheme Scotland. 

Pension Age Winter Heating Payment 

This payment helps people of State Pension age pay their heating bills. If you’re eligible, you could get a payment between £105.55 and £316.70. Most people get this automatically and don’t need to apply. Letters with more information will be sent from November 2026 and payments are made into the same account you get your State Pension or Social Security Scotland benefits. Energy advice 

Our Tenancy Support Services can help you make simple changes which may lower your energy usage. We can also help you contact your supplier, check if you are eligible for the Priority Services Register, switch to a different supplier, or set up payment plans to manage energy debt. 

Damp and mould 

It’s really important you let us know if you have damp or mould in your home so we can tackle this together.
