New City House is located in the city of Dunfermline. The site was previously occupied by a hospital, originally constructed approx 1895. Part of the site was redeveloped into modern office accommodation in 2004 and the building was purchased by Kingdom Housing Association in February 2024. The office block will be converted into 32 units for mid market rent in partnership with Campion Homes. There are plans for a mix of highly energy efficient 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. The properties will benefit from a communal parking area, cycle store and close proximity to the city centre. Dunfermline is a major service centre and has a wide range of local amenities such as shops, restaurants, theatres, parks and schools. The city also has excellent transport links, including railway stations, a bus station and a good road network providing easy access to surrounding areas, airports and cities such as Edinburgh and Glasgow. The strip out works have commenced on site, and full renovation of the property is estimated to start in October 2024.
