Housing Advocacy Project There For Social Tenants In Need

Fife Voices is a housing advocacy project funded through a three year grant from the Scottish Governments Homelessness Prevention Fund. It is being run by the Fife Housing Association Alliance, a partnership between Kingdom Housing Association, Fife Housing Group, Ore Valley Housing Association and Glen Housing Association.

The project’s aim is to help any customer with short term support needs to access the best outcomes in housing issues that affect them. Avoiding issues that can lead to tenancy failure and homelessness.

Service users can receive help to assess their options and achieve their desired outcomes by accessing key services and support. The areas where the team can help include:

  • Budgeting
  • Access to grants
  • Bills and utilities
  • Correspondence support
  • Suitability of accommodation
  • Repairs
  • Complaints
  • Training and employment
  • Benefits & Council Tax
  • Welfare reform issues
  • Crisis support

The Fife Voices team will work with new and existing tenants of the partner landlords to help them access essential support services, claim grants or benefits and assist service users to achieve personal goals in areas like health, employment and training.

Customers looking to access the service can get in touch with the team directly by email at fifevoices@kha.scot or by calling 01592 632 517, 01592 632 597.
