When did you join the Board?

I joined the Board in March 2025

What is your professional experience?
I am a former Senior Civil Servant who worked in the Scottish Government for twenty-one years. Before that, I held positions in national government agencies (housing and enterprise) and in local government (Edinburgh and Glasgow). I have also served for ten years in chairing roles on the boards of not-for-profit providers of education and social care services”.

My professional experience encompasses leadership of strategy and policy within Government, team and relationship building, and successful delivery of large-scale investment programmes and innovative financing projects - mainly in the housing communities and regeneration areas - collaborating with partners across public, commercial and voluntary sectors in the UK and Europe.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Activities I particularly enjoy in spare time include adventures with family, pedal and motor cycling through country roads, open water swimming and triathlon events, nature restoration and reading.

What did you want to join the Board?

I joined the Board in order to continue to support the vital contribution of housing and related services to Scottish society in a setting where practical interventions make real, meaningful impacts on people's lives. KHA impressed me as a Group organisation that delivers services for its customers and communities over and above its core purpose of providing homes. KHA has values, vision and ambitions I strongly support and I wanted to add my experience to help KHA maximise the opportunities and navigate the challenges that lie ahead. With a personal life-long attachment to Fife, I am interested too in learning more about the region through Kingdom's people and operations.
