Completed: March 2022
Project Details
This exciting development was built on cleared land which was formerly the site of affordable housing, demolished a number of years ago.
There was much thought put into the design and planning of these homes so that they blended in with the existing surrounding properties and incorporated a modern look along with new technologies to improve energy efficiency.
There was a mix of house types catering for the local community’s needs including a selection of amenity housing, larger homes and wheelchair user properties. On completion the Social Rented properties were transferred to Ochil View Housing Association and Kingdom Initiatives are the landlord for the Mid Market Rents.
The two mature Giant Sequoia trees at the north of site, left over from when this area formed Alloa Park, provided an unusual backdrop which we tried to replicate throughout the site, using trees, hedging and shrubs to provide additional greenery and soften the hard landscaping.
The homes were designed with modern living in mind to provide elements for people’s current and future needs.
The 21 Mid Market Rent properties were completed in January 2022 with the 33 Social Rent properties handed over to Ochil View in March 2022.
