Project Details
This project provided 66 new Apartments for Mid Market Rent and was part of a larger scale mixed use development which comprise of 157 flats and a row of commercial units at street level.
The units were developed on a vacant site within a new build seven storey block in the centre of the former Pilmuir Works in Dunfermline which housed a former linen damask factory and warehouse complex. Dunfermline is a major service centre for West Fife and has good transport links to surrounding areas. The site is located within walking distance of the town centre, close to a leisure centre and other local amenities such as shops, restaurants, post office and banks.
The new homes provide residents with an energy efficient home which includes District Heating. The properties also meet Scottish Government Greener Standard (Full Bronze + Silver Level Aspects 1 & 2), Housing for Varying Needs, Secured by Design and the Association’s own design standards.
The specification for the units includes floor coverings, blinds and oven/hob.
The completed homes are let through Kingdom Initiatives which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingdom Housing Association.
