The Payroll and Benefits team at Kingdom Housing Association is celebrating their third win at the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) Annual Excellence Awards 2026 for In-House Payroll Team of the Year.
Following two previous wins and one Highly Commended result, Kingdom was announced as team of the year for the public sector for the third time at the awards ceremony in Wales.
Kingdom had been shortlisted for the national award with other companies including British Transport Police, Cardiff University, North Yorkshire Council and TransPennine Trains. The accolade recognises excellence, innovation, professionalism and outstanding service within the payroll profession.
Over the past year, the team at Kingdom have gained Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) accreditation and they introduced Earned Wage Access, or on-demand pay, meaning staff have more control over how and when they can access their money.
There’s also a new benefits partner to offer discounts and deals to staff, and the team have updated the processes for buying and selling annual leave. There are regular webinars and workshops for staff about pensions, taxation and savings advice, and they also offer a salary sacrifice scheme for car users.
Pay and Benefits Partner Jacqui Hoskisson said: “To be recognised as the winner amongst such strong competition is a testament to the dedication, expertise and commitment our team demonstrates every day in supporting colleagues across Kingdom.
“This award reflects the team’s passion for continuously improving the employee experience, embracing innovation, maintaining the highest standards of payroll excellence and ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, every time.
“A huge thank you goes to everyone across the organisation who supports and works alongside the Pay and Benefits Team. This achievement truly reflects our collective effort that helps us deliver exceptional service to our colleagues.”
