A staff team from Kingdom Housing Association took part in the Construction, Housing and Property Charity Business Fives’ summer Football heat in Edinburgh on Tuesday. Team Kingdom are raising money for Fife Dementia Centre (Alzheimer Scotland) as our charity of the year, nominated by staff.

On the pitch, the tournament initially saw two groups of teams playing to qualify for the ‘Champions League’. Kingdom got off to a fast start winning the first two of three group games, with wins against ESPC and Thomson Grey before losing the last group games against Braemore Property.
In the knock out stages, Kingdom overcame two very tough games against Castle Rock Edinvar (quarter finals) and Braemore Property (semi finals) to set up a Champions League final against Thomson Grey.
Unfortunately Kingdom came up short losing in the final, but the Kingdom team did brilliantly and as beaten finalist they qualify for the national finals on 26th September 2018, when they get the opportunity to compete for the national trophy.
Congratulations to Thomson Grey on their win and a big thank you to the Business Fives organisers, sponsors and all the teams who played, for making it a great day.
All the Kingdom team had a great time and are looking forward to the national finals in September.
