Kingdom Support & Care staff have been recognised for their outstanding achievements at an award ceremony held at Garvock House Hotel in Dunfermline.
The 2022 ‘Wall of Fame’ awards was the first in-person event of its kind held by Kingdom Support & Care since the start of the coronavirus pandemic and saw staff recognised for their dedication and commitment over the last 3 years.
Across three categories, the peer-judged awards highlighted creativity, teamwork and outstanding support delivered during unprecedented times and while facing unprecedented challenges.
Kingdom Support and Care is a subsidiary of Kingdom Housing Association and provides high quality personalised support and care to over 300 individuals across Fife and Falkirk, helping them to live independent lives in their own homes.
Norah Smith, Executive Director of Kingdom Support & Care said, “The ‘Wall of Fame’ awards celebrate the amazing work done throughout Kingdom Support & Care and it was great to have everyone together in one place for the first time since before the pandemic. Though our awards have been held virtually recently, we made sure our past winners were recognised at this in-person event alongside our winners from this year. Lots of the work goes unseen, but it’s definitely not unrecognised or unappreciated. The work done by the frontline workers as well as support service staff and managers is essential to the smooth running of the service and the awards recognise the creativity and agility of our people that allows us to deliver uninterrupted support.”
Bill Banks, Kingdom Group Chief Executive, presented the awards and summarised the achievements of the winners as well as the work of ‘The Voice’, the staff consultative group who implemented the ‘Wall of Fame’ recognition scheme.
Bill said, “It was an honour to present the ‘Wall of Fame’ awards and to spend time with staff who do such great work day in and day out. We were joined at the event by Karen Koyman, the Chair of Kingdom Support & Care’s Board of Directors, and by Linda Leslie, the Chair of Kingdom Housing Association’s Board of Management, and it was great that they were able to share the day with our winners and guests.
The awards demonstrate how much we value our people, their hard work, dedication and creativity and being able to hold events like these in person makes them even more memorable.”
