Kingdom Housing Association Announces Re-Election of Chair

Kingdom Housing Association, part of the Kingdom Group, has announced the re-election of Linda Leslie as Chair of the Association and the election of David Redpath as Vice Chair.

First elected as Chair in 2021, Linda has been a Board member at the Association since 2015 and also serves as a Director with Kingdom’s subsidiary, Kingdom Support & Care, since 2018.

Having worked in the housing sector for over 30 years Linda is an experienced professional and is passionate about the delivery of excellent customer services and the provision of high-quality, affordable homes, which she feels is absolutely necessary to reduce poverty, enhance aspirations and help grow strong communities. Linda is also fully supportive of Kingdom’s commitment to developing sustainable homes.

Speaking about her re-election as Chair Linda said, “I am extremely proud to be re-elected by my fellow Board members as Chair of Kingdom Housing Association and I am looking forward to continuing to work with David, the other Board members and the management team over the next year. Though the cost of living crisis undoubtedly presents challenges for our customers and for the Group as a whole, I’m confident that working together as one Kingdom we will be able to deliver on our strategic objectives while supporting our local communities.”

Linda added, “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank two of my former Board colleagues for their commitment and dedication as they retire from their roles as Joint Vice Chairs. I’ve enjoyed working with Laurie Naumann and Freya Lees enormously. Laurie was a founding Board member at Kingdom, serving on the Board continuously since 1979 and Freya has been a valued member of Kingdom’s Board for almost 10 years. The passion and dedication both Laurie and Freya have for the work Kingdom does can’t be overstated and they have both played a significant role in Kingdom’s success. I’m delighted that Laurie has agreed to be the first ambassador for Kingdom.”

David Redpath joined Kingdom’s Board in 2018 and was elected as Vice Chair at Kingdom’s October Board meeting. With a background in Financial Services and experience of supporting those facing financial challenges, David’s knowledge is of particular importance during the current economic situation.

Speaking of his election to Vice Chair, David said, “I am very much looking forward to working with Linda and the rest of my Board colleagues over the next year. Our mission at Kingdom is to provide more than a home, something that is more important now than ever. The homes we provide are the foundations, but it’s the additional wraparound services we are able to provide that build on those foundations and help our customers and communities thrive.”
