Fire and Smoke Alarms in Scottish Homes
Following the tragic fire and loss of life at Grenfell Tower in London, the Scottish Government set up a Ministerial Working Group to oversee a review of building and fire safety regulatory frameworks.
The wider work of the group will look at a range of issues including sprinklers, electrical fire risk, and fire safety guidance, but as a first step, a public consultation on Fire and Smoke Alarms in Scottish homes has been prioritised. The consultation is now available and closes on Friday 1st December 2017.
Working with TIS and TPAS Scotland, the Scottish Government have organised four events throughout Scotland to ensure tenants’ and residents’ voices and concerns are heard and taken into account on this very important issue.
The Scottish Government is encouraging as many tenants and residents as possible to engage in this consultation. Come along and learn more about the proposals! Spaces are limited, book now to guarantee your place.
The events will be held in Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Moffat. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
