Ask for Permission

The changes you can request are detailed in your Tenancy Agreement but we have also listed some of these below. It is really important that you contact us to request permission for any potential change as not doing so can put your tenancy at risk.

Some of the changes you must ask permission for are:

to assign your property (request that your tenancy is passed to someone else)
to carry out a business from home
to change your tenancy from sole to joint*

Mutual Exchange (to swap homes once you have identified someone you want to swap with)

to sublet your home

to apply for a lodger to move in

* Not applicable for Mid Market Rent (MMR) tenants. If you are a MMR tenant and would like to discuss these changes, please get in touch.

In line with current government guidelines, we are now able to resume Mutual Exchange applications. Not all Fife Housing Register (FHR) partners have taken this decision so please check with your landlord first before applying.
