Sinclair Young

Board Member Joined Mar 2024

With a background in architecture, project management, and surveying, I bring a broad technical understanding of buildings and housing delivery to the board. My career has given me deep insight into asset management and repairs and aware of cost, performance, market conditions, and sector challenges. I’m analytical by nature and take a pragmatic approach to evaluating risk and ensuring projects align with strategic goals.

I joined the Board to expand my experience and gain a wider perspective on the housing sector beyond my day-to-day work. It’s also a chance to contribute meaningfully to Kingdom Housing Association’s mission, using my expertise to help the organisation meet its objectives.

Looking ahead, I’m keen to support the growth of our housing stock and help define a standard of housing that’s recognised as sector leading.

I care deeply about issues like fuel poverty, education, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability, all of which are influenced by the decisions we make. That’s why getting the housing standard right is so important as it can make a real difference in people’s lives.

When I’m not immersed in housing strategy, I’m probably talking about motorsports. I’ve been lucky enough to compete in rallying across the UK, Ireland, and central Europe over the past decade. It’s a passion that always brings a smile to my face.
