What is your professional experience?
I started off my career as an electrician in the private sector before starting in Social Housing with Kirkcaldy District Council in August 1992, then Fife Council after the amalgamation of all Authorities. During that time I have had many roles linked with construction, repairs & maintenance and leading the team that dealt with Private Landlord Registration and the licensing of Houses of Multiple Occupancy.
I am currently the Housing Asset Manager with Dundee City Council.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to spend this going out on my motorbike, socialising and raising money for charity.
Why did you want to join the KI Board?
I felt I had a lot of experience in Social Housing and the Private Rented Sector and wanted to share this experience with others, I also wanted to learn more from others and this is a great way of doing that. I am very honoured to be on the Board and more so now having been elected as Chair.
