Thanks to funding that we have secured through Utilita’s Supporting Communities Fund we are putting together 30 Warmer Winter Packs for tenants experiencing heating issues, fuel poverty and extreme low income.

The packs are designed to support vulnerable tenants who are at risk over the winter period, whilst we work with them to identify long term solutions to the issues they are experiencing.

Each pack will contain the following items;

1 x 13.5 tog winter duvet – Single, Double or King Size

1 x Thermos Flask

1 x Hot Water Bottle

1 x Thermal Hat

1 x Pair of Gloves

1 x Pack of thermal socks

1 x Large Fleece Blanket

Each Warmer Winter Pack will also come with a Food Parcel to the value of £30 that will contain some of the following items;

Soup, beans, pasta, tea, coffee, sugar, cuppa soup, ravioli, mac & cheese (tinned), biscuits, diluting juice, hot dogs, microwave rice, tinned veg, pasta sauce, handwash, shower gel, tinned pudding, tinned fruit, tinned meat, salt, tuna, long-life milk

In addition, for tenants who have Prepayment Meters, we will also support them with a Top-Up Voucher worth £48 from our partnership with the Fuel Bank*

The additional funding we have secured will also allow us to re-introduce our very popular Smart Cooker Programme. 25 Multi-Cookers and 25 Microwave Ovens will be available to customers who are experiencing fuel and food poverty. The cookers will again be delivered to customers with a Warmer Winter Pack and a food parcel if required. These items will allow customers to be able to cook/warm up their food in a cost-efficient way, even if they are off of their Gas supply for example.
