Kingdom Support and Care gains Silver Investors in People Accreditation

Kingdom Support and Care CIC (KSC) has achieved the prestigious Silver Accreditation from Investors in People (IiP).

KSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingdom Housing Association and has been operating as an independent organisation since April 2017.

Norah Smith, director of KSC, said: “We are delighted to receive this silver accreditation at a time when the Organisation is still in its early stages. It is the result of the hard work of the management team and the hard work and commitment of all staff to deliver the best support possible for the people who use the service. We look forward to taking on board the areas suggested for development and strive towards further improvements.”

Bill Banks, CEO of the Kingdom Group of Companies, said: “I’d like to congratulate all the management and staff in KSC for achieving the Silver Accreditation. It’s a fantastic achievement, particular since KSC has only been operating since 2017.”

Bill added: “When KSC was established it provided a clear organisational focus for delivery of our support and care services and we were keen that all staff would have the ability to influence development and implementation of our objectives. The Investors in People Accreditation is a very welcome recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication of all staff.”

With around 249 employees, the assessor was impressed with KSC’s focus on continuous improvement and seeking opinions, views and feedback from employees in order to improve retention and employee engagement in general, with a clear remit in this area for the staff consultative group ‘The Voice’.

In striving to become an employer of choice, the assessor commented that there is clearly some great practice happening in leadership and management. There was evidence of strong values; belief in the work that we do; a passion about our future vision; a motivational approach and strong performance management skills.

Supporting learning and development was noted to be well embedded in the culture which results in staff being well versed in their roles with staff regularly going above and beyond normal practice which results in the people we support achieving their outcomes.
