A Festive Message From Tom Barclay

Hello, I’m Tom Barclay, Kingdom Group Chief Executive.

Our Winter edition of The Resident has just been published and should be with you by now. I hope you have a few minutes spare at this busy time of year to read through some of the articles we’ve put together for you.

KHA customers can read The Resident here.

KI customers can read the KI Bulletin here.

There’s some really good information about Smart Shopping, some great hints and tips about saving money on your energy bills this winter, and of course how you can get in touch with us if you need us over the festive period.

I know that for many, this time of year can be a struggle. I want you to know that at Kingdom we are with you every step of the way. We work really hard to put you, our customers, at the heart of everything we do. I’m really passionate about customer service and I am proud of the way all of the team at Kingdom, from the housing officers you know to the office staff behind the scenes you probably don’t know, work hard to deliver as One Kingdom on our mission of providing more than a home.

Kingdom has always been about much more than bricks and mortar and as we head in to 2024, that isn’t going to change. Of course we’ll continue to provide high-quality, safe, secure, and affordable homes. But we’ll also work hard to develop sustainable, welcoming communities for everyone. As someone who was born and raised in social rented housing in Glasgow I completely understand how life-changing those homes and communities are.

Just before I wrap up, I wanted to talk a bit about the cost of living crisis that is still very much with us and affecting everyone. The winter months, and of course Christmas, can put extra strain on already stretched budgets, so I wanted to remind you that Kingdom has a range of help and support services available to you that are free and completely confidential.

Our friendly tenancy support team can help with a range of subjects including money advice, energy advice, and access to funds and grants. We are here to help, so please do get in touch or speak to your housing officer to find out more.

From all of us at Kingdom, we’d like to wish you a wonderful festive season and a happy and healthy new year.

Tom
