We are looking for upbeat, confident and energetic people to join our team in Falkirk / Slamannan area.
We provide care and support to people to live in their own homes and to have as full a life as possible and to be part of their local community. On a day to day basis you may: go to the cinema, go shopping, out for lunch, visit a nail salon or go on day trips to Edinburgh, Glasgow or further afield. We also support people with the less fun things in life such as house work and paying bills, tasks we all have to do but we recognise the sense of achievement a person can gain from learning these skills.
We provide support for individuals with autism who present behaviours of challenge but that is a small part of what we do. We prefer to focus on fun activities and building respectful and understanding relationships. The more fun and enjoyable experiences a person has, the less they will display behaviours of challenge.
To support staff into the service, we offer a comprehensive induction period with training tailored to the service and a buddy system to new staff so you have the support of the whole team. The service is set up as a core and cluster so your colleagues are always near by if you need them.
New team members bring new ideas and thoughts which is something we always welcome and learn from so come and help us to continue to develop and provide great support.
The post is subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland check and a current full UK driving licence and use of car for work purposes are essential for this post.
In return for the above we will offer an attractive salary and benefits package including full funding and support towards an SVQ qualification in Care and generous annual leave entitlement.
