Play Park & Landscaped Areas – Community Consultation Event Monday 26 March 2018

Kingdom Housing Association are holding a Community Consultation event to give local residents the chance to tell us what they would like to see provided in the new open landscaped and play areas being formed as part of the Fraser Avenue Regeneration project. The consultation event will take place at Ballast Bank Community Centre, Inverkeithing on Monday 26 March 2018 from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Staff from Kingdom will be present, and you will have the opportunity to give comments, receive further information and ask any questions you may have.

Phase 2 of the Fraser Avenue Regeneration Project – Community Consultation Event Monday 11 December 2017

Kingdom Housing Association are holding a Community Consultation event to give local residents a preview of the proposed new housing plans for the second phase of the Fraser Avenue Regeneration Project. The consultation event will take place at Ballast Bank Community Centre, Inverkeithing on Monday 11 December 2017 from 3.30pm to 7pm. There will be an opportunity for people to add comments, receive further information on the development and ask any questions you may have concerning the project. Construction Academy 13 November 2017

As part of the Fraser Avenue Regeneration project in Inverkeithing, Kingdom Housing Association are running a Construction Academy in partnership with our contractor Campion Homes to help unemployed Fife people gain construction training. The Academy will consist of 2 weeks of practical certified training followed by a 4 – 8 week work placement at one of Campion’s sites in Fife.

The Academy will start on Monday 13 November 2017 and is open to unemployed 16 – 29 year olds that live in south west Fife. If you would like to take part or find out further information, please click here or contact Kingdom’s Fife Works team on 01592 862304.

New Retail Units – Community Consultation Event 25 September 2017

The Fraser Avenue master plan identifies space for new retail units at the top of Fraser Avenue. A Community Consultation Event will be held at Ballast Bank Community Centre, Inverkeithing on Monday 25 September from 3.30pm till 7pm to give the local community the opportunity to provide feedback and comments on the proposed plans in advance of the detailed planning application submission.

Removal of Double Yellow Lines

Some of the double yellow lines are to be removed from Fraser Avenue by Fife Council Transportation Service within end of September. This will allow residents additional space to park now that it is no longer a bus route.

Spencerfield Road Temporary Car Park – Closure Notification

The temporay carpark at Spencerfield Road forms part of the building site for the Fraser Avenue regeneration works.

Campion Homes have offered to leave the carpark open when possible to assist residents with parking, however to enable new drainage to be installed, Campion  will be closing the carpark on Wednesday 28 June from 9.00am until 5.30pm at which point the carpark will be reopened for residents use.

We will be issuing letters to advise occupants of immediate properties of this closure, however f you use this area to park please ensure that your car is removed before works start at 9.00am otherwise you will be unable to access your car during the period of the works.

Building Work Begins

We are pleased to confirm that building work on the first  53 new homes at Fraser Avenue started on Monday 8 May 2017.  Completion is expected in December 2018 however we will work closely with the main contractor, Campion Homes, to agree a phased handover.  This will allow some of the new homes to be ready for allocation from summer 2018 onwards.

To ensure public health and safety the site will be closed off to the public while building works are underway.  This temporary closure will mean that the bus routes currently running through Fraser Avenue will be diverted via Spittalfield. Please note that Fraser Avenue cannot be closed off until we carry out some pre-diversion works which will include opening up the road link between Spittalfield and Spencerfield and providing a new access road from Hillend onto Gray Place/ Spittalfield.  We expect the pre-diversion works to take approximately 3 weeks to complete and on completion diversion signs will be in place to assist residents and drivers.

Construction Academy

Kingdom Housing Association and Campion Homes are planning to hold a Construction Academy in June 2017.  Successful candidates will be offered 2 weeks accredited construction training, such as CSCS, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling, followed by a 2-4 week work placement with Campion Homes on one of their Fife based sites.  If you would like to take part or find out further information please click here or contact Kingdom’s Fife Works team on 01592 862304.

 


  • Photography Project – Kingdom Housing and Fife Council have commissioned Inverkeithing Arts Initiative to run a photography project, to document the changes in Fraser Avenue during the redevelopment.
  • Fraser Avenue Regeneration Newsletter – Edition 4 of the newsletter has been distributed to over 800 homes in Fraser Avenue and surrounding areas.
  • Memories of Fraser Avenue – Memory project launched to capture some of the positive stories and images of the area before it all starts to change.
  • Tenants Choice – Returning tenants given the opportunity to choose the ground floor layout of their new home.
  • 3d Model – We have commissioned a large scale model that shows our plans for the redevelopment.
  • Phase 1 Detailed Plans – Submitted in May 2016.
  • Planning Approval (PPP)  Approved on 27th April 2016.
  • Demolition Phasing – 146-168 Fraser Avenue now incorporated into Demolition Phase 2.
