Work Begins on £3.5m Project at Victoria Mill

The re-development of the old Castleblair factory and the building of 32 new homes is under way thanks to Scottish Government cash. The £3.5 million project to transform the empty Victoria Mill, in Dunfermline’s Pilmuir Street, is the first phase in an overall plan for 180 new homes.

Fife Works – Support for Apprentices

Over 70 local employers, and guests from the Scottish Building Federation, attended a conference in Dunfermline on 5th June 2009 hosted by Fife Works. The presentations, held at the Carnegie Conference Centre, showed how the current economic downturn is affecting apprentices and apprenticeships in Fife, and a workshop looked to find solutions to help sustain them.
